Applications

To apply for admission, please complete our 2012-2013 lottery application and deliver it to us in person, by fax or mail.  Our lottery schedule is below. Please note that lottery applications are due a week before the lottery date. If we receive your application after the deadline stated below, it will be submitted for the following lottery.  While we hold lotteries regularly, your child’s chances of being offered a seat are much greater if you apply early.

Lottery

Applications are drawn at random. However, preference is given to applicants in the following order:

  • Siblings of currently enrolled CCSC students (The Massachusetts DESE defines a sibling as a child who shares a common biological or legal guardian, as opposed to children who live in the same household but do not share a common guardian.)
  •  Cambridge residents
  • All other Massachusetts residents

Acceptance Notification

Once the lottery is run, we will notify families by mail if they have been offered a seat, or if the student has been placed on our waitlist.

Enrollment Package & Orientation

Families of admitted students will be required to submit enrollment paperwork by a date specified in their enrollment packet. Admitted students and at least one parent/guardian will be required to attend an orientation and academic assessment session.  At this session, students will take math and ELA placement assessments which will determine their grade placement. Families will be contacted after results are received. Not all students my qualify for the grade to which they applied.

Waitlist

Students not admitted will be placed on the waitlist until a space becomes available. Applications do not carry over to the next year. All children not admitted must reapply the following year.
