Cougars Drop A Tough One to Pioneer Charter

The boys' baseball team squared off with the Pioneer Charter School this past Friday at MIT, with Pioneer Charter getting the upper hand and coming out on top.  The Cougars were led behind the strong arm of 8th grade flame thrower Franklin Romero, followed by relief pitcher and sophomore teammate Kenny Casado, also know as, Pedro Martinez. Despite solid hitting from Malcolm Clemons and Jonathan Medina-Rosario, as well as a beautifully placed bunt from Justice Young, the Cougars came up short in their final home game.

Despite holding a 1 run lead in the second inning, the baseball team lost last night to Advanced Math and Science Academy in a tough game on the road. Captain Kenny Casado returned to the mound and pitched a solid game, and Wislens, Franklin, Jonathan, Ramon, and Farhan had hits in the game with Jonathan, Ramon, and Farhan earning RBI's. The Cougars play Friday at home against Pioneer Academy.

Boston Collegiate, Too Strong for The Cougars Today

The Cougars suffered their second loss of the season to Boston Collegiate in a rematch yesterday that featured solid pitching from starter Franklin Romero and base hits from Daniel Howell and Malcolm Clemons. Ramon Recio proved a valuable reliever during the closing inning and Wilson Recio did some outstanding work in center field. The boys play Advanced Math and Science today in Marlborough.
