The boys basketball team listens closely to Coach Hurst-Hiller
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The CCSC boys basketball team fell to Foxboro Charter on Thursday night, 53-47. The Cougars held a slim 28-24 halftime lead, but they could not hold on as the hosts went on an early second half run.
Despite placing three players in double figures, CCSC's record stands at 2-4 while Foxborough moved in front of the Cougars in the MCSAO standings.
Freshman Geo Morgan scored ten points and had eight rebounds while sophomores Bayoan Garcia and Jude Odige also put up numbers, scoring 11 and 16 respectively. Garcia added six assists.
What seemed like a strong advantage on the boards (five players had three or more rebounds and sophomore Wale Wright had a team leading eight) was overshadowed by 21 turnovers and a 27% clip from the free throw line. Foxborough knocked down their free throws to seal the victory.
CCSC plays again tonight, at home, against second place Health Careers Academy.
