CCSC plays hard in every game
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The CCSC boys basketball team lost a tough one to Foxboro (4-4) on Sunday afternoon, 46-44. The hosts took an early lead and were up at halftime, but the visitors fought back throughout. The tightly contested battle ended in a flurry of action, but the Cougars couldn't close out the victory.
"It was a very tough loss," commented Head Coach Hurst-Hiller. "We opened strong, taking it to a team that had controlled the tempo against us previously."
CCSC shot just under 50% from the field and only commmitted ten turnovers. Bayoan Garcia led the charge with 21 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Jude Odige, who tied the game with 20 seconds left in regulation, scored ten points while Geo Morgan added four points and eight boards.
CCSC (3-6) travels to Boston Collegiate (2-5) tomorrow for a 5:30 tip-off.
