CCSC Athletics at MIT

Click here for directions to MIT athletic facilities.

The CCSC Athletics Department, in collaboration with MIT, utilizes various venus for its many activities.  In their inaugural seasons, the CCSC boys and girls basketball teams used MIT's Rockwell Cage and DuPont Gymnasium for practices and home games, the same locations as MIT Varsity Teams.

Boston University Nickerson Field
The field is located between Babcock Street and Harry Agannis Way.  The field is accessible by both the Green Line (B) and the 57 bus.  Get off at either Pleasant St. or Babcock St.

From the North: Take I-93 or Route 1 to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive. Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Square Exit. At the first set of lights, turn right onto Beacon Street. Bear right at the far end of Kenmore Square onto Commonwealth Avenue. Continue on Commonwealth Avenue to Babcock Street (approximately 1.25 miles). Turn right onto Babcock Street, Athletic Department is up ahead.

From the South: Take I-93/Route 3 (Southeast Expressway) North to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive. Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Square Exit. At the first set of lights, turn right onto Beacon Street. Bear right at the far end of Kenmore Square onto Commonwealth Avenue. BUA Sargent Gymnasium

The gym is located right behind BU Academy, which is at the corner of the BU Bridge and Commonwealth Avenue in Boston.  The T stop to use is BU Central.

From Boston area:

Route 93 South  to Route 3 South towards Cape Cod
Exit 14 (Rockland, Nantasket Beach)
At end of ramp TURN LEFT
At first stop light TURN RIGHT onto POND ST.
Follow straight on Pond St.
Pond St. becomes Whiting ST.
Continue on Whiting St. through first intersection (Stop light)
Whiting St. becomes Pleasant St.
Continue on Pleasant St. through next intersection (Stop Light)
Pleasant St. becomes Circuit St.
At FORK stay to the LEFT on Circuit St.
TURN RIGHT onto MYRTLE St.
The field will be 0.5 miles on the right hand side.

From SSCPS

Turn right onto High St.
Straight through 1st set of lights at intersection for rte 123
Follow straight until reaching a fork just before intersection of Rte 139
Turn right at the fork.  Church will remain on your left.  Tee-ball Field on Right.
Turn right onto Rte 139
Immediately turn left onto Center St.
Follow until reaching first Stop Sign
Turn right onto Myrtle St.
Field is about 100 yards up on left-hand side.


Foxborough Regional Charter for Soccer

Directions To Cocasset Field for FRCS soccer games

Take route 95 to Exit 7 for Foxboro Rt. 140 (There is an A & B-take the Foxboro one)
The off ramp takes you directly onto Route 140 going the correct way.
Take your first Left onto Walnut Street.
Go straight through the stop sing to the end of the street.
Turn Left onto South Street, for about a half mile.
Go past your first sign for Cocasset field, stay on South Street.
Take a right onto West Street.
Take your second right onto Mill Street.
The field is on the right side after the fourth house. There are no signs at the field.
It can be hard to find.
Please drive through the gate, do not park on the street or the driveway entrance. There is a parking lot past the field.



Foxborough Regional Charter for Basketball

Take Route 90 West (Mass Pike) to 128 South to 95 South.  Follow 95 South to exit 7B

(Route 140/Foxborough).  Follow 140 towards Foxborough Center.  Continue Straight

for 1¼  mile until you see a Mobil Station on the left hand side.  Just before the Mobil

Station, turn left at the Foxborough Regional sign.  The school is down the street on the

left hand side.


For the gymnasium, once you are on the street that the school is located on, take your

first left (before the school building) and follow around to the back parking lot. 

Door “F” is the easiest entrance into the gymnasium.

Take first left onto Northampton Street. The gym is in the building directly across from the Liquor Store.

From Mass Ave. Turn right onto Harrison Ave
Take first left which is Northampton Street

The gym is located in the high rise building on the 4th floor. Park in the garage below the building and remember to bring your parking ticket with you to the gym to have it validated. The first two hours of parking is free.

Pope John Park, Dorchester
MBTA: Take the Red Line (Ashmont branch) to Fields Corner. The #20 bus route passes by two of the park's entrances: at Neponset Circle and at Hallet Street.

By Car: Take US-1 South to exit 12, Rt 3A South and merge onto Gallivan Boulevard (MA 203). The entrance is located on Gallivan Boulevard. A second entrance is located on Hallet Street.

South Shore Charter at Camp Wing, Duxbury
From the Braintree Split:

Take Route 3 south towards Cape Cod.
Take Exit 11.
Turn left off the exit onto Route 14.
Turn/bear right onto Union St. (note: this is a triangle intersection)
Turn right onto Keene St. (1st major road on right)
Follow past really nice recreational fields.
The field will be on your left.

Off ramp puts you on Melnea Cass Boulevard.
Take a left onto Harrison Avenue.
Harrison Avenue merges with Warren Street.
Continue on Warren Street for approximately 6 blocks to intersection with Martin Luther King Boulevard.
YMCA is at the corner of Warren and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

By Train:

•    Take the I-95 SOUTH/RT-128 SOUTH exit towards BRAINTREE/WALTHAM, exit #25S
•    Take the RT-2 EAST exit towards ARLINGTON/CAMBRIDGE, exit #29A
•    Continue on US-3 SOUTH/RT-2 EAST/RT-16 WEST towards BOSTON/WATERTOWN
•    Bear Left on CONCORD AVE
•    Bear Right on FRESH POND PKY
•    Continue on GERRYS LANDING RD
•    Bear Right on GREENOUGH BLVD
•    Make a Sharp Left Turn on ELLIOT BRG towards BOSTON/NEWTON

Parking

     There is a lot on the left of the building on Cambridge St.  Street
     parking is available but at a premium due to road construction.  Ask
     Don to find out if the underground lot is available in the future.  It
     is directly across the street from the gym.

Kelly Field in Hyde Park
Kelly Field is at the intersection of Turtle Pond Parkway and River Street on the Dedham/Hyde Park border

From Boston:

Take Huntington Avenue away from Boston to the Jamaica Way.
Follow the Jamaica Way until it turns into the Arborway.
Continue to follow signs for Route 203 East.
Go through Mattapan toward Hyde Park. You will eventually come to a Mobile Station on your right at Blue Hills Ave (Rt 28, but no signs). Turn Right.
Go 1.1 miles and Turn Right onto River Street (the sign for River Street is actually on the other side of the street, so keep a good eye open).
After a while, River Street appears to end, turn right (but it will still be River Street).
At the Intersection of Turtle Pond Parkway turn right.
Parking lot for field will be on right.

From Route 95/Route 128:

Take Exit 14 to East Street/DEDHAM (follow signs at the rotary after getting off the highway).
Follow East Street 0.8 miles, and the street will come to a triangle.
Bear left at triangle, remaining on East Street. Continue on East Street another 0.5 miles.
Turn Right onto Sanderson Ave and go 1.4 miles.
Sanderson turns into River Street.
Follow River Street (River will bear 90 degrees to the left).
Continue on River St. another 100 yards and turn Left on Turtle Pond Parkway.
Parking lot for Kelly Field is immediately on your right.

Danehy Park, Cambridge
From Boston, take Storrow Drive/Soldiers Field Road or Memorial Drive (both can be accessed from the Cambridge exit 18 off the Mass Pike) to Fresh Pond Parkway (Rtes. 2, 3 & 16) towards Arlington. Follow through light at intersection of Huron Avenue and past Porter Chevrolet on right to rotary with Sozio Electronics store, through rotary and immediate right onto New Street (that´s the name of the street, not the state of it´s construction) just after Sozio, Danehy Park is ahead on right.

From outside city, take Rte. 2 East from Rte. 95 (Rte. 128) to the Alewife T Station (can also take Rte. 16 from Arlington/Medford area), go past the train station and over the bridge towards Fresh Pond on Alewife Brook Parkway, go all the way around the rotary at the ground round to reverse direction, then turn right into the parking lot at the Fresh Pond Mall, go around to the left and past the cinema to New Street and Danehy Park behind the mall, the entrance will be on your left.

****Enter the park on the New Street side (behind the Fresh Pond Mall), simply walk up the path past the 1st field & portable toilets (on right) to the second field on the right hand side.  Danehy #3 is directly across from the turf field/track.****

 

Directions to Jacob’s Pond, Norwell MA

From Boston and points north:

Route 93 South to Route 3 South (towards Cape Cod)
Exit 13 (route 53)
At the end of the ramp turn left onto route 53
Follow rt 53 over the highway.
At first stop light intersection turn Right onto Main St. (route 123)
Take FIRST Left onto Jacob’s Lane
The entrance to the park will be on the left less the ¼ mile.

From Cape Cod and Points south:

Route 3 north to EXIT 13
Turn right onto Route 53
At first stop light intersection turn right onto Main St. (route 123)
Take FIRST Left onto Jacob’s Lane
The entrance to the park will be on the left less the ¼ mile.
