12th Grade Engineering

Engineering is a project-based course that will expose seniors to the different fields of engineering design.  The curriculum will focus on civil, mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering, though other fields will be discussed.  The first unit will teach students the  universal design skills that engineers use across the fields.  The second unit will explore designing sustainable cities.  The third unit will look at using hydraulic and pneumatic systems to power machines.  The fourth and final unit will concentrate on understanding how new wireless communications technologies work. Engineering is a rapidly expanding field with several career opportunities for people who are interested in coming up with creative ways to solve problems and better society.
