Modern World History, 2011-2012
CCSC’s 12th Grade Modern World History course is designed to prepare students for history courses at the college level. In this class we will be looking at a variety of complex modern world issues from the end of the 19th-century to the present. As with all events in history, each of these issues can be analyzed through a range of perspectives. Students will work closely with primary and secondary sources and a variety of media to gain access to these perspectives. Throughout the course, we will also be developing skills that are essential to any academic course including note-taking, text-based discussion, debating, writing, and research.
