Fredrick Woodard is one of CCSC’s many outstanding students. As a 7th grader, Fredrick has demonstrated academic achievement and creativity. He recently impressed fellow students and teachers alike with his talented jazz violin performance at the school’s open mike night.
Community Charter School of Cambridge Celebrates Its First Senior Class Graduation
On June 10th, 2009, at Harvard's Longy School of Music, 21 seniors from Community Charter School of Cambridge accepted high-school diplomas. CCSC's first ever senior class graduation was the culmination of four years of hard, diligent work. Eighteen of the 21 students were there the day CCSC first opened its doors in August 2005.
All of the 21 students were accepted to and have enrolled in college for the 2009-2010 school year. CCSC's valedictorian, Courtney Johnson received a full scholarship to Cornell University. Rachel Evelyn Jean-Louis, also a graduating senior has been named Posse Scholar and will attend Denison University in Granville, Ohio with a $100K scholarship.
