Community Charter School of Cambridge Ranks at Top in State Scores
Community Charter School of Cambridge announces that their 10th-grade students placed second among all Massachusetts high schools in improvement in English Language Arts and third in improvement in Mathematics. These “growth model” results, released by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, measure individual students’ gains between 8th and 10th grade. “The results are a very good measure of our efforts,” said Associate Principal Emma Stellman. “They show the marked improvement our students have made during these two years, and are a tremendous validation of our teaching and our curriculum.”
Over half of the school’s 10th graders scored above the 80th percentile for growth on one or both subject exams, with 40% placing at or above the 90th percentile in Math.
