The 2010 valedictorian, Leah Jean-Louis’s 5-year tenure at CCSC has been marked by academic success. She is a member of Crimson Academy, captain of the girls’ basketball team and recently completed her senior internship at Charles Massachusetts General Hospital under an accomplished surgeon. Summer Session Begins
CCSC is now in summer session which began on Tuesday, July 6th and will end on Friday, August 13th. All of our incoming 7th grade students are attending and we have several courses in math, English, and college essay writing. The summer school is being held in the Upper School building.
First Day of School Right Around the Corner
The first day of school for the 2010-2011 school year at CCSC will be Wednesday, September 1st. We look forward to seeing all of you then. Please be sure to read the latest letter from our Head of School, Paula Evans. It includes information about transportation and the upcoming Pathways to College sessions as well as our dress code policy.
Impressive record for CCSC softball team
Our girls’ softball will storm into the post-season this Saturday as the #2 seed, riding a nine game winning streak. The Cougars wrapped up their regular season with an impressive overall record of 9 - 1. Their only loss came in the first game of the season at the hands of an undefeated Foxboro Squad, with whom they are on a collision course heading into the playoffs this weekend. We hope to have a large contingency of CCSC folks to cheer on our girls. If you can make it, the games will be played on the MIT softball fields located on Vassar Street in Cambridge.
Graduation 2010
CCSC proudly graduated nineteen students on Wednesday, June 9th. A festive graduation ceremony was held at Walker Auditorium at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Paul Parravano, Co-Director of Government and Community Relations at the M.I.T., delivered an inspiring key note address. Leah Jean-Louis, valedictorian, addressed her fellow graduates with poise, humor, and wisdom.
All graduates will attend college in the fall. Please see our list of college acceptances here.
