The 2010 valedictorian, Leah Jean-Louis’s 5-year tenure at CCSC has been marked by academic success. She is a member of Crimson Academy, captain of the girls’ basketball team and recently completed her senior internship at Charles Massachusetts General Hospital under an accomplished surgeon. Her college acceptances include Tufts, Carnegie Mellon, and Mount Holyoke. This fall she will attend Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.
Senior Internship Exhibition Night--June 2nd
Please join us for an evening of internship presentations. After spending more than 100 hours at their sites, seniors will be presenting on their experience, their projects, their mentors, and the nature of their work. The first part of the evening will run from 4:45 to 6:45. We welcome visitors who would like to attend the event, meet our seniors, and question them about their experience. The second part of the evening includes light refreshments and a ceremony thanking mentors for their guidance and service. Both parts are open to the public. View the invitation to this evening here.
CCSC Students Perform in Shakespeare Celebration
Recently, some of our ninth grade students performed monologues from Romeo and Juliet. Sumayyah Abdul-Hadi, Shadia Ahmed, Donnell Hogan, Jessica Martin, Hugh Merisier, and Vivianne Nufio were part of “The Bookish Ball & Shakespeare Birthday Bash” in Winthrop Park. These students, along with their fellow ninth graders, have been studying Shakespeare this year in Humanities class and were thrilled to be a part of this Shakespeare celebration.
