CCSC Students Participate in MLK Tribute

Please join CCSC students as they participate, along with other area students and community members, in honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 18th, at 5:30 in Harvard Square, outside the Out of Town News Kiosk. The event is a tribute to Dr. King through music, poetry and spoken word. CCSC students will share in the reading of Dr. King's I Have a Dream speach. For more informatoin on the even, click here.

April Lottery--Deadline March 26th

We are now accepting applications for our April 1st lottery. The deadline to submit applications for this lottery is Friday, March 26th, at 4pm. Please downlowd an application for the lottery here.

Parent Guardian Association Hosts Teen Health & Wellness Roundtable Discussion

On Tuesday, January 19th, 2010, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., five distinguished Cambridge health professionals will be conducting a round-table discussion about teen health and wellness in the Upper School Building. All CCSC parents and guardians are encouraged to attend this discussion.

Upcoming Lottery Deadline for 2010-2011 School Year

The next lottery for the 2010-2011 school year will take place on Tuesday, January 19th. The deadline to submit the application for this lottery is Monday, January 11th at 4pm.

Midterm Exams

The end of our first semester is fast approaching, and students are hard at work. Midterm exams will be held from January 25-27 for all upper school students and many lower school students. Please read the January letter from Paula Evans, head of school, to read more about midterms and to view the midterm schedule.

Our Mission

CCSC is a tuition-free, public charter school located in Kendall Square, Cambridge. Serving students in grades 7 through 12, CCSC engages each student in meaningful work inside the school and in the larger community through internships and community-based projects. All CCSC students are prepared to succeed in college and gain the confidence and skills to be leaders in their communities.

Outstanding Student

The 2010 valedictorian, Leah Jean-Louis’s 5-year tenure at CCSC has been marked by academic success. She is a member of Crimson Academy, captain of the girls’ basketball team and recently completed her senior internship at Charles Massachusetts General Hospital under an accomplished surgeon. Her college acceptances include Tufts, Carnegie Mellon, and Mount Holyoke. This fall she will attend Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.
