The 2010 valedictorian, Leah Jean-Louis’s 5-year tenure at CCSC has been marked by academic success. She is a member of Crimson Academy, captain of the girls’ basketball team and recently completed her senior internship at Charles Massachusetts General Hospital under an accomplished surgeon. Her college acceptances include Tufts, Carnegie Mellon, and Mount Holyoke. This fall she will attend Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.
Our Mission
CCSC is a tuition-free, public charter school located in Kendall Square, Cambridge. Serving students in grades 7 through 12, CCSC engages each student in meaningful work inside the school and in the larger community through internships and community-based projects. All CCSC students are prepared to succeed in college and gain the confidence and skills to be leaders in their communities.

- ·CCSC draws students and families who are serious about education and prepared to work hard. They understand the value of a school whose first priority is intellectual growth in preparation for college and beyond.
- ·Placing an emphasis on individual learning, and with a 1-to-10 teacher to student ratio, all CCSC students are known well by the faculty and staff, and all students have their own faculty advisor watching over their academic well-being.
- ·CCSC 12th graders participate in a 100-hour, real-world internship program. Performing meaningful work and experiencing the workplace first-hand, past internships have been at Massachusetts General Hospital, Metlife Financial Services, Improv Boston, and many other sites.
- ·In three years of league membership, CCSC has been competitive during each MCSAO athletic season winning a basketball championship in 2007 and making it to at least the semifinals every year it has participated in soccer. CCSC practices and plays at MIT.
