Wellness and Movement

The objective of this class is to help you improve your overall fitness level and at the same time educate you about a variety of health topics so that you can develop healthy lifetime habits and make sound decisions concerning your health.

We have an exciting curriculum in store for you that will include physical activity, as well as, health education.  The health education component will include the following subject areas (topics):  physical health (growth and development, physical activity and fitness, nutrition, reproduction/sexuality); social and emotional health (Mental Health, Family Life, Interpersonal Relationships); safety and prevention (Disease prevention and control, safety and injury prevention, tobacco, alcohol, and other substance use/abuse prevention, violence prevention; personal and community health information (consumer health and resource management, ecological health, community and public health).

Your homework is for you and a parent/guardian to read and sign the course Syllabus , as well as, the Rules and Routines.

You are also required to bring in a 1/1.5 binder and study for our first quiz which covers the Syllabus, Rules and Routines, Roles and Binder Set-Up.
