Course 1: Algebra 1 (8th Grade)

This year we will be going on a journey through the world of algebra.  During the first stretch of our expedition, our itinerary will include the exploration of the tools of algebra, functions and graphs, algebraic concepts, equations and inequalities, rate of change, proportions, and writing/graphing linear equations.  During the second stretch of our expedition, our itinerary will include the exploration of probability, systems of linear equations and inequalities, exponents, radical expressions, and polynomials.

Each day of your mathematical journey you will investigate, explore, discover, reason, argue, justify, explain and prove.  You will develop fluency with these mathematical topics while strengthening your problem solving skills.  Our journey will take us to interesting and challenging places in the world of mathematics!

Course 2: Algebra 1 (9th Grade)

This year we will be going on a journey through the world of algebra.  During the first stretch of our expedition, our itinerary will include the exploration of the tools of algebra, functions and graphs, algebraic concepts, equations and inequalities, and writing/graphing linear equations.  During the second stretch of our expedition, our itinerary will include the exploration of probabality, systems of linear equations and inequalities, exponents, radical expressions, and polynomials.

Each day of your mathematical journey you will investigate, explore, discover, reason, argue, justify, explain, and prove.  You will develop fluency with these mathematical topics while strengthening your problem solving skills.  Our journey will take us to interesting and challenging places in the world of mathematics.

Course 3:  Algebra 2/Trigonometry

This year we will be going on a journey through the world of advanced algebra.  This course allows students to explore and expand on all of the elementary algebra that they learned throughout their math careers.  During the first stretch of our expedition our itinerary will include the exploration of equations and inequalities, linear relations and functions, systems of linear equations and inequalities, polynomials, irrational and complex numbers, exponential equations and radical equations.  We will venture into the world of the three-dimensional plane and synthetic division.  During the second stretch of our journey we will visit quadratic equations, rational expressions, trigonometric functions and their graphs, advanced probability and more.

Each day of your mathematical journey you will investigate, explore, discover, reason, argue, justify, explain, and prove.  You will develop fluency with these mathematical topics while strengthening your problem solving skills.  Our journey will take us to interesting and challenging places in the world of mathematics.
