Emma Stellman
Emma Stellman co-founded the Community Charter School of Cambridge with Paula Evans and Rob Riordan in 2004. She was the lead writer of the CCSC charter. Ms. Stellman serves as Associate Principal for Curriculum and Program. She works with the faculty on developing and delivering curriculum, building student and teacher schedules, and developing innovative programs and professional development for faculty. She also oversees school-wide assessment (MCAS, Terra Nova, etc.), is the CCSC data guru, and serves as the liaison to the MA Department of Education for CCSC's charter school site visits and renewal.
Ms. Stellman was a fellow at Building Excellent Schools, has a masters degree in education from Stanford University, and a bachelor's degree in physics from Bryn Mawr College. Prior to founding CCSC, she taught high school physics for 6 years on both the East and West coasts. Her two terrific girls keep Ms. Stellman and her husband running, smiling, and laughing day and night.
