Course 1: Learning Laboratory

This class meets four times per week at third and fifth period.  The class is aimed at reinforcing skills being taught in the core classes.  In addition, I will be teaching, re-teaching, and previewing skills that will help students better understand  the content material in their core classes.  This class will provide all students will the opportunity to ask questions in regards to concepts that they do not comprehend in their cores classes.

Course 2: Yoga

Yoga is a forty to fifty minute class of stretching poses. Yoga is not only a tool to de-stress but an opportunity to build physical strength with the continuous practice of the various poses. The goal of the class is to help students recuperate after a stressful week.  Most of the yoga classes are held at MIT, which is a ten to fifteen minute walk that gives students an opportunity to enjoy the company of their fellow classmates. During Yoga, a relaxing environment is created with the sound of meditation music playing in the background to which the students complete the stretches.  After class, students have ten minutes to use the equipment in the gym before they make the trip back to school.  Each student earns a Pass or Fail grade, which is based upon their effort to complete the stretching routine, ability to follow directions from the teacher, being dressed and ready for class, and overall behavior.
