As a child, Ms. Barnard was one of those students who loved school. Soon after her college graduation, she started working in a school system and found she really enjoyed teaching students, staff, and adult education classes.
“That was over 20 years ago and I still look forward to each and every day in the education setting,” she says.
Ms. Barnard’s career includes stints at Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston and the Pembroke Public Schools, where she served as manager of information systems.
“I can say that I love my job. With software support and data analysis each day can be different,” she says. “I like the challenge of finding a problem and looking for a solution. I also enjoy teaching and helping other staff members by giving them tips and tricks to make their jobs easier so that they have more time to focus on the students.”
